Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Canton, Georgia
Position Overview: The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services, develop purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. You'll collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams to maintain a seamless supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for acquiring materials and services.
- Supplier Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and assess performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, forecast needs, and prevent production delays.
- Cost Management: Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure materials meet quality standards and resolve related issues.
- Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with laws and company policies.
- Leadership: Supervise and support one or more buyers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of procurement or purchasing management experience, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
