Quality Engineer - Manufacturing
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves developing quality control processes, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze data from quality tests and inspections to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and projects, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and present findings to management.
- Train and mentor manufacturing staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, CAPA).
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE, CQA, etc.).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software and data visualization tools.
