Job Description
The Quality Engineer I Plans, and coordinates quality processes in metal stamping plant with ISO 9001 environment. Will be responsible for being aware of impact on product quality and the importance of activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the risks involved for the customer with non-conforming product. This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
Develops and initiates methods, procedures, and work instructions for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Devises sampling procedures, designs forms for recording evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data, and writes instructions on use of forms.
Establishes program as required to evaluate capability of production and processing equipment and to meet established performance requirements.
Support of the supplier development system as directed by the Director of Quality.
Develops and coordinates gauging design and acquisition for new and current products for internal usage.
Responsible for Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans and PFMEA for assigned line. Participates in design reviews.
Maintains multiple projects simultaneously.

Interfaces with all disciplines to ensure that quality systems are established and maintained to provide customers with quality products and ensure vendor compliance.

External contacts - Contacts and works with customers/suppliers, operators, OEM personnel outside of the organization.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
5 years' of industry experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, tool designs, and other technical drawings.
Formal SPC, ISO-9001 IATF 16949, ASME Y145, drawing standards and evaluation, Q.A. Systems analysis and documentation implementation.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office/Outlook.
