About the Job
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, review and analyze data collected within inspection
- Create, post and communicate metrics
- Participate and contribute in meetings focused on improvement to product and process
- Perform audits and communicate findings to area or process owners
- Document findings for traceability, using corrective and preventive actions as necessary
- Perform all CMM programming activities including Calypso, PCDMIS
- Provide training, coaching or discipline for inspectors or operators
- Revise and create programs as required within a timely manner to support legacy and NPI
- Ensure accurate and timely records, reports and metrics
- Complete special projects on time
- Perform supplier audits as necessary
- Initiate, implement and track corrective and preventive actions
- Company policy is followed regarding all safety, environmental and ergonomic requirements
- Responsible for maintaining proper housekeeping standards
- Work with customers and suppliers to create a "win-win" business relationship
- Manage supplier corrective actions
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with SPC required
- Previous internal audit experience required, Audit Certification desired
- Previous CMM programming experience strongly preferred
- Experience with statistical analysis software, such as Minitab preferred
- Experience with problem analysis and resolution
- Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, MS Access, MRP systems, etc.)
Skills
- Understands quality principles with a knowledge of ISO 9001 and key aspects of a 9001-based QMS
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- CQE preferred
- Lean manufacturing preferred
- Ability to think critically and to reengineer inefficient paper-based systems towards automation
- Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
- Ability to recommend and implement improvements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
- Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
- Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
- Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

- Ability to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility

Trains and provides guidance to final inspectors. Fosters and improves the quality management system through auditing, corrective action, preventive action and training. Special projects as assigned.
