Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing operations in our roofing machinery department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes, as well as experience in team leadership and production oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of welders, fabricators, and machine operators in the roofing machinery department to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Ensure safety procedures and guidelines are followed at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and track production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient completion of all projects.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and support to resolve operational issues with equipment and processes.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and production reports.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize production workflows.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance, skills, and safety awareness.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards, conducting inspections and audits to maintain high-quality output.
- Collaborate with engineering and production planning teams to improve product designs and manufacturing processes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies and collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely availability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications in welding, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a welding/fabrication environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisor role, specifically in a welding or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and machinery used in the production of roofing machinery or similar industrial products.
- Hands-on experience with welding equipment, fabrication tools, and metalworking machinery.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment
