Production Supervisor - Nights
Position Summary:
Manufacturing Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of production workers in an efficient manner to achieve the optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The individual ensures that company policies and guidelines are accurately interpreted and implemented.

Key Position Responsibilities:
- Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of aerospace fasteners.
- Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet safety, quality, and production targets.
- Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.
- Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements and prioritization.
- Maintains operations data, such as time, production, and cost records and prepares management reports.
- Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrated abilities to plan, prioritize, and delegate work assignments, including ability to define, implement and execute standard work
- Cultivate and maintain a standard work environment including 5S principles, CI, standard work flow and process control
- Assess and develop team member skill sets
- Walk the floor and communicate with each employee
- Complete and turn in weekly report
- Supports management with the Departmental Action Plans to achieve the Company's and Department’s long-term goals and objectives
- Observes equipment usage and employee quality of work and takes corrective action when necessary.
- Reports preventive maintenance and procurement selection
- Monitors tools and material management
- Recommends corrective actions and confirms full cycle of problem solving and prevention.
- Maintain high standards of performance, quality and customer service within all departments.
- Responsible for adhering and implementing company policies and guidelines as prescribed by management
- Utilizes SPC, Real Time, and other tools within the system to manage the factory quality.
- Interviewing, evaluating, hiring, training, motivating, supervising, and disciplining all personnel under general supervision.
- Responsible for the supporting and implementing company safety programs in the assigned shift.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline OR HSD/GED with five (5) years of related proven leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization. Knowledge of design practices, manufacturing techniques, and inspection requirements.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or Continual Improvement experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required as well as computer aptitude.
- Must read, understand, refer to and interpret Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) dimensioning and identify third view projection blueprints.
Beneficial Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- CNC experience
- MRP/ERP experience
- Quality Management Systems (AS9100) experience
- Intermediate to Advance Skills with Microsoft Excel or equivalent

Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) or a Foreign Person for whom a license is obtained.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
This position is held in a working manufacturing floor that works around machinery and equipment. The employee may be required to stand throughout their shift. Employee moves throughout the building to collect, deliver, and copy documents and handle production parts. This position requires occasional lifting of parts up to 25 lbs. and the employee must often bend and reach to load materials on equipment. The position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data. This is a 2nd shift full-time position: Monday- Friday. Occasionally weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs. Pay Range: $80,000-$95,000 per year
