Role and Responsibilities
A Manufacturing Technician has the primary responsibilities of performing duties pertaining to Printer Operator, Finishing, and CNC Operator, but also includes secondary responsibilities of relieving co-workers in the other operating areas, such as Shipping and Receiving, and QC, as needed.
- Perform unloading, cleaning, daily maintenance, preparation, and loading of additive printers
- Perform additional de-powdering of parts once removed from the printers
- Perform part/plate separation via bandsaw or wire EDM as necessary
- Perform support removal and other finishing duties, such as grinding, sanding, cutting, etc., on parts.
- Perform unloading, cleaning, daily maintenance, preparation and loading of CNC equipment.
- Interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Orders and Dimensional Prints.
- Utilize part inspection equipment to include gage pins, calipers, height gage, micrometers, depth gages, and thread gages.
- Identify parts correctly, accurately, and legibly for traceability.
- Produce parts in a pre-determined production time frame.
- Always perform job tasks in a safe manner while adhering to the company's safety policies.
- Always Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain required attendance and punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals.
- Manage a clean and productive workstation.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
Operational Excellence
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Wear all required Person Protective Equipment, when required
- Raises concerns to supervisor or manager related to safety, hazards, procedures and policies.
- Delivers operational excellence through focused and quality performance
- Meets individual goals, metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
Equipment Care
- Work with Engineering and Facility Maintenance to keep equipment, tools and fixtures clean, always maintained and in best working condition.
- Provides immediate feedback on equipment, tool and fixture failures or drop in performance
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years manufacturing experience in Additive Manufacturing or related operations
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
