ARA’s Randolph, VT division has an exciting, fulfilling opportunity. ARA is seeking a manufacturing technician to build mechanical and electrical assemblies on state-of-the-art products. Candidate should be skilled using hand tools to assemble a variety of mechanical / electrical products and integrating these components into larger geotechnical, robotic and security systems using drawings and work instructions. This position offers some opportunities to travel to different customer locations supporting training events, maintaining products, and troubleshooting our systems.
- What you’ll do as a Manufacturing Technician
- Use drawings, schematics and work instructions to build, test, rework and repair various mechanical and electrical assemblies to quality control specifications.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the build process and engineering documentation.
- Assist engineering with design and test of prototype assemblies and production units.
- As a manufacturing technician at the Integrated Products Division, you will have exposure to mechanical and electrical assemblies on state-of-the-art products. From security systems to robotics, the work varies considerably and often. Our technicians have the opportunity to work on bench level assembly and integration on deliverables.
- Manufacturing Technician Requirements
- Ability to work independently following work instructions, assembly drawings and schematics.
- Proficient with common hand and measurement tools.
- Computer usage experience.
- Effective communicator oral and written.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and have flexibility as required to help our teams in the areas of need.
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training and 4-5 years of related experience.
- Manufacturing Technician Preferences
- Soldering experience.
- Cable assembly experience.
