Summary:
Support production operations team in helping to develop new tooling, fixtures, re-design production process to streamline efficiency and provide guidance to the production team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide operations support to document and maintain existing processes, tooling, and production standards.
- Establish plans for re-design of existing processes to improve efficiency.
- Establish and document new processes to be compliant with customer specifications, Mil-standards, ANSI standards, and J-Standards.
- Assist in planning, developing and implementing capital and non-capital improvement projects.
- Support lean initiatives to eliminate waste and improve on-time performance.
- Support production projects to improve production yields.
- Promote cost reduction ideas within manufacturing operations.
- Provide assistance with developing custom tooling and production processes proposals requested by customers.
- Coordinate with internal production teams and external suppliers to improve overall performance of operations with on-time delivery, quality, and reduced cost.
Other Duties & Responsibilities: ·
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Assist with any operations as required maintaining workflow, and meeting schedules and quality requirements.
- Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and resolve problems; maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
- Maintain safe work area; comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three plus years’ experience;
- Experience working on production floor;
- Excellent track record with successful implementation of process improvement projects;
- Strong communication skills working in a matrix organization;
- Proficient with Microsoft suite: Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
- CAD experience is a plus.
