Position Overview
This position is responsible for performing manufacturing procedures and the execution of scheduled tasks within a cGMP environment. This position is responsible for quality and maintaining the highest standards in compliance within company policies, procedures and all applicable regulations. Responsible for fostering site pride and J&J citizenship.
Principal Responsibilities
Independently execute manufacturing or manufacturing-support processes according to standard operating procedures and current curriculum.
- Support schedule adjustments to meet production, material receipt, and shipping requirements; Review visual schedule.
- Responsible for supporting an uninterrupted inventory supply, as needed to support Malvern Campus Operations.
- Support materials management from goods receipt using SAP and labeling, through to final delivery of all Raw Materials, Operating and Non-Operating Supplies.
- Accountable for the timely packing and shipping of materials to meet Customer requirements as well as local, state, federal, and international requirements.
- Support Warehouse and Logistics organization to achieve delivery of accurate production materials, timely shipments to fill-finish sites, coordination, and support of incoming and outgoing shipments for the campus and support the development of long-term strategies that are align with network needs.
- Follow policies and procedures that ensure optimum storage and handling of products and materials in the Warehouse and production areas
- Expected to follow all appropriate GMPs, SOPs, Safety procedures and Company Policies while ensuring the safe use and proper care of company equipment Example: Pallet Jack,
- Responsible for operating PIV equipment (Fork lifts, pallet jacks) and driving company truck
- Ensure the optimum storage and handling of products and materials in the Warehouse and production areas
- Ensure all material is stored and handled in a manner that follows GMP, Malvern policies and procedures as well as regulatory body directives and guidelines
- Ensure the physical Warehouse structures and equipment are maintained in excellent operational condition.
- Retrieve and analyze trend charts and process data on trained procedures.
- Verify and enter production parameters per SOP and Batch Records.
- Accurately complete documentation in SOP's, logbooks and other GMP documents.
- Maintain equipment and instruments.
- Demonstrate training progression through assigned curriculum.
- Be accountable for maintaining a working knowledge of basic cGMP requirements to ensure adherence to compliance policies and regulations.
- Wear the appropriate PPE when working in manufacturing and other hazardous working environments.
- Proactively maintain a clean and safe work environment, take necessary action to eliminate safety hazards, and communicate to others any observed unsafe behaviors.
Additional Responsibilities
- Offer suggestions and follow up on process improvements related to safety, compliance, cost, yield, and productivity.
- Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines, including FDA, EPA, and OSHA.
- Adhere to the Safety Code of Conduct & J&J EHS policies and attend all required EHS training.
- Attend departmental and other scheduled meetings.
- Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate positive, collaborative approach in the day to day execution of procedures.
- Learn new skills, procedures and processes as assigned by management and continue to develop expertise.
- Responsible for audit preparation and participation
- 1-2 years Medical/Pharmaceutical experience or equivalent industry experience is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, preferably in Science/Engineering related field.
- Proficiency in computerized systems: Outlook, Word & Excel is required. Knowledge in MES and SAP is a plus.
