We are searching for a motivated & experienced Manufacturing Trainer
The Manufacturing Trainer is responsible for overseeing the onboarding and training of new hires in operations (production, packing and sanitation) as well as monitoring and initiating any retraining for existing operations employees due to deficiencies or gaps within any aspect of their job. They will monitor Company expectations, safety policies, and quality policies, as well as supporting management in the performance review analysis process.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: include the following
- Acclimates new hires to their work place, to include a tour of key areas (such as; restrooms, break room and locker rooms).
- Helps with any introduction for new hires to key members of the team (i.e: Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, etc…)
- Works with management to develop and assist in the onboarding plan for all new hires.
- Follows-up with management for compliance with approved onboarding plan
- Provide HR onboarding documentation and regular feedback of all new hires.
- Ensure that employees are following all safety procedures.
- Train new hires on all required safety practices in the plant.
- Observes and retrains any employee not performing the functions of the job properly.
- Understands our HACCP plan, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and other QA plans and required process control procedures to ensure new hires and existing employees are trained and adhere to all processes. drive quality improvements or process changes with all employees.
- Act as liaison between management and any new employee to ensure proper understanding of job functions.
- Support management with the completion and tracking of the 30, 60 and 90-day review analysis process.
- Responsible for observing safety, quality and production process compliance, and reporting any observations to direct management.
- Ensure that management is properly developing their staff, working with them to identify potential candidates for progression.
- Analyzes and evaluates issues around quality and safety that cause product defects or safety issues and helps management with the follow-up needed to address them, especially for any re-training.
- Utilizes QA SOPs to monitor and ensure compliance for food safety and quality of finished goods and raw materials.
- Assists in the investigation of quality problems and/or food safety issues and recommends solutions for the prevention of re-occurrences and/or re-training for employees.
- Act as liaison between management and any new employee to ensure proper communication for any issues that may arise with the employee.
- The ability to identify different products by visual, name and/or product number.
- Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings).
- Contributes to the continuous improvement culture.
- Informs management of any problems or complications that may arise
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
· Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
· Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
As an employee at Europastry, you must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory. You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code.
