About the Job
Loan document preparation and settlement process in which the required loan documents and other items are created and presented to OPML customers for execution.
Responsibilities:Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and independent loan originator representatives.
Responsible for coordinating, assembling and/or creating loan settlement packages for customer execution
Interacts with loan production offices to coordinate customer settlements
Responsible for knowledge of required documents to be included in loan settlement packages
Interacts with Correspondent Lenders on required loan settlement documents
Interacts with OPML Operations Staff to ensure smooth transaction path from the loan settlement stage to the loan funding stage
Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of bank guidelines and policies as well as all applicable laws and regulations related to marine and recreational lending in order to ensure compliance.
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and integrity in all internal and external interactions with colleagues, customers and vendors.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage assigned pipeline using reports to meet closing deadlines.
Continually strives to improve the department’s efficiencies.
Communicates professionally in oral and written format with internal and external customers.
OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers phones, fields inquiries, and assists in resolving issues as they arrive.
Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.
Qualifications:POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or its equivalent plus specialized course work and training.
- At least three years of experience in consumer/marine lending.
- A demonstrated understanding of loan procedures and regulatory requirements and some ability to analyze and interpret personal, corporate and partnership tax return and financial statements.
- Proven organizational, oral and written communications, problem solving and analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently as well as on a team.
- Must have working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel as well as loan origination systems.
- Attendance in office during normal business hours (at minimum) may be required in order to effectively coordinate with multiple departments, projects and outside entities.

Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures. Refers problems to immediate supervisor.
