Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Shipping Team Leader to join the team! In this position, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of all shipping operations, yard activities, and yard inventory as it relates to the site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the designated shipping support group, database, and internal documents to determine shipping orders and designated items to ship.
• Accurately and efficiently create all necessary shipping documents per company and DOT requirements (if applicable).
• Move tanks throughout the yard including movement in and out of production and internal storage areas.
• Ship all materials on a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management procedure
• Ensure all trailers are within the quality and cleanliness specifications and requirements of the company and designated customer
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently load all trucks to meet the load expectations as dictated by the shipping support group and/or customer support staff.
• Recheck count to ensure correct materials are on trailers.
• Take pictures of all loads to ensure proper loading and accountability of shipped materials and product.
• Complete load sheets, initial each item that is loaded, sign and finalize all reporting by the end of the work day.
• Clean and straighten plant grounds, tank fields, and yard stored inventory for proper location accountability.
• Provide monthly cycle counts of assigned inventory throughout the yard and report any variances to the site supervisor. 
• Perform daily inspections of operational equipment accessed by the shipping department and report any maintenance issues accordingly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• High School diploma and/or GED preferred
• Experience, preferably in a manufacturing/shipping environment
• Basic computer skills
• Leadership skills
