Job Description: | Join our expanding and dynamic team to work on campaigns for a wide range of University of Florida programs. The Operational Services team offers marketing and enrollment services for various online undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs that cater to students from all over Florida and the world. As part of this team, you will be responsible for planning and executing web and multimedia marketing projects that showcase these amazing programs and help attract prospective students. The Opportunity Reporting to the Web Designer III, the Marketing and Communications Specialist I supports the Office of Teaching and Technology to plan, implement, and manage various communications initiatives and tasks using different media to enhance the visibility of clients’ and the unit’s products and services in markets. This position creates marketing materials including graphic design, website content, video and other materials to support the unit’s work. The essential functions of the position are as follows: Creates marketing materials for assigned unit and clients upon request and by identifying communication needs based on relevant research. Creates eye-catching content for web, print, and other mediums including graphics, video, and images. Collaborates with marketing team and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts. Implements marketing support tools and participates in the evaluation of the costs and benefits of a specific marketing channel and assists in the development of innovative marketing channels and tools. Supports, develops, and manages websites for clients, internal partners, and unit as needed. Develops and implements content on websites and makes updates as requested by clients and as directed by leadership. Collaborates with team members and undertakes project refine sites to meet brand standards and SEO best practices. Participates in the planning of marketing materials, content and communication needs based on relevant research, campaign and lead generation goals, and other desired outcomes. Identify communication needs and work with others to manage, produce, and implement communication. Liaise with internal and external partners and agencies. Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
