Location: Westerville, Ohio
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Position Summary:
The Marketing Communications Specialist promotes the company's products, services, and culture to existing and prospective customers and internal associates through the strategic use of events, content, graphics, logos, and creative, promotional tactics. The Marketing Communications Specialist will create, distribute, and manage positive branding messages and collateral for the company's products and services.
This role will not create social media content. The main focus will be on internal communications, preparing for trade shows/events and assisting with the development and distribution of materials related to sales, training and marketing.
Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience writing and editing projects required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which include writing ads, content, and presentations.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools.
- Must be organized and very detail-oriented
- Experience with website administration (CMS) is a plus
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Likes a variety of tasks that aren't necessarily marketing-related
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
