Responsibilities
As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate Marketing Functions
- Manage and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, text, social media, digital advertising, and other collateral.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing plans and calendars to ensure timely, consistent messaging.
- Utilize tools such as Salesforce and Pardot to create emails and perform data entry.
- Content Creation
- Craft compelling content for various platforms, including email, website copy, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with program stakeholders to develop tailored content that resonates with prospective students.
- Design Support
- Assist in creating visually appealing marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Ensure all designs align with the school's branding guidelines and enhance the overall aesthetic of our marketing materials.
- Digital Marketing
- Implement and optimize SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search rankings.
- Manage Google Ads campaigns and analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics to drive data-informed decisions.
- Campaign Management
- Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and enrollment targets.
- Develop strong calls to action and innovative content ideas to support demand generation efforts.
- Work closely with outside marketing vendors to identify collaboration opportunities, develop and organize comprehensive marketing plans, and determine the collateral and creative assets needed to support various initiatives.
- Market Research
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies.
- Benchmark against competitors to ensure our programs remain attractive and relevant.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Swag and Printed Collateral Management
- Coordinate the production and distribution of swag for programs, including placing orders, creating placement proofs, and securing department approvals.
- Collaborate across departments for order consolidation where possible, work with purchasing to prepare and submit invoices, and communicate with vendors from order to delivery.
- Manage the inventory of printed materials and ensure timely distribution for events and promotional activities.
- Event and Communications Calendar Coordination
- Schedule, organize, and maintain the recruiting events calendar.
- Coordinate the communications calendar, including managing deadlines and aligning with overall marketing efforts.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on the latest marketing trends and technologies, actively seeking out opportunities for professional development and applying new knowledge to improve marketing strategies.
- Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with remote team members, program directors, and other stakeholders to support marketing efforts and achieve enrollment goals.
- Participate in virtual meetings for training and project direction.
- Assist with special projects and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree English, Journalism, Communications, or related field plus 3 years of related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; familiarity with a variety of computer software; project management and strong interpersonal skills; ability to work both individually and in a team setting.
Some areas may require additional experience with specific computer systems and may require skills in interviewing, ad copy writing, editing, photography, web writing, graphic design, audio & video production, and oral presentation.
Master's degree in a related field may be preferred.

- Proven experience in a marketing or communications role.

While this role is in-person, the Specialist will also regularly engage with remote team members and participate in virtual meetings for training, direction, and project coordination.
