Opportunity: Marketing Coordinator
We are looking for a motivated and energetic candidate to champion print and digital marketing efforts for our hotel. This position will be responsible for general marketing communication functions and also assist the sales team with administrative support. This includes but is not limited to social media campaigns, digital and print collateral offers, and website content creation and design.
Essential Job Functions
- Administrative support: 60% marketing, 30% sales, and 10% reservations.
- eCommercee, website performance, and social media reporting.
- Email database creation and management.
- Coordinate hotel photo shoots.
- Digital image asset organization and distribution.
- Onlinee email and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Assist with monthly email deployment messaging blasts and responses.
- Monitor social media engagement and online presence and reputation.
- Assist with internet marketing budget planning and management of ongoing campaigns.
- Assist Revenue team on as-needed basis to input rooming lists and reservations.
- Assist in content creation for a variety of uses including hotel press releases, collateral, web copy, social media, internal announcements, and more.
- Liaise with GMCVB to regularly host prequalified influencers for media press.
- Assist with sales reporting, prospecting, blitz LTOs, and office phone coverage.
- Regular recurring monthly social media content creation, formatting, & posting;
- Facebookk, Twitter, and Instagram
- Onlinee review response via hotel website, Yelp, Trip-Advisor, Expedia, and Booking.com.
- Assist Sales Managers with total quote management: build, assign, and turn down.
- Organize and execute quarterly VIP sales and marketing branded client FAM receptions.
- Perform other duties as requested by Director of Sales and Marketing.
Position Requirements
- Familiarity and knowledge with graphic design, and media community management.
- Minimum two years of hotel hospitality experience.
- Strong writing and communication skills, and must be a team player.
- Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented habits.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel.
- Diligent work habits and ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, creative, confident and energetic personality.
- Content management and web analytics experience.
- Ability to independently organize and complete multiple tasks and projects.
- Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Position reports directly into Director of Sales and Marketing.
Work Environment and Context
- Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
- Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
