Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic, creative and detail-oriented Copywriter to join our fast-growing Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a strong command of language, and the ability to write engaging content that resonates with our passionate pickleball audience. As a Copywriter at Selkirk Sport, you will be responsible for producing high-quality written content across various platforms, including our website, social media, email, marketing materials, and seasonal campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write clear, persuasive, and original copy for a variety of marketing materials, including product descriptions, blog posts, quarterly catalogs/magazines, social media content, email newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to help define our brand voice and create writen content that aligns with our brand voice and Marketing strategy.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in copywriting and digital marketing.
- Ability to translate complex and technical product features into meaningful benefits that the consumer can relate to.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure it is free of grammatical errors and adheres to brand guidelines.
- Work closely with the Creative team to ensure that copy and visuals are cohesive and effective.
- Assist in the development of content strategies to drive engagement and conversions.
- Establish process for the creation and management of copywriting for the Marketing department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in the sports or outdoor recreation industry.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and content strategies.
- Ability to write in a variety of styles and tones, adapting to different audiences and platforms.
- Creativity and a passion for storytelling.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with the pickleball community and industry.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia content creation.
Location: Remote
Salary: $65,000 to $91,000
