Job Description
We are currently seeking a Marketing, Front End Developer! This person will deliver a personalized user experience for the cutomer. Focused on targeting and segmentation, the specialist will use their front-end development skills to develop the optimal content for the guest and result in growing engagement and booking across carnival.com. The ideal individual will be responsible for set-up and QA of promotions and targeted offers on carnival.com primarily using javascript/html scripting & CSS. This person would also be in-charge of testing and innovating features that would increase conversion on the site.
The developer will manage product and sale merchandising content as well as personalize content through Carnival.com. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to execute promotional placements, develop merchandising content and enhance the user experience through optimization with a focus on personalization and other site merchandising opportunities. In addition, this role helps manage and implement a strategic test and learn plan and an effective targeting strategy for retail and product driven campaigns. The digital experience team rotates on-call for urgent site issues that occur over nights/week. the specialist will work closely with IT, Product Owners, Stategy, E-mail and Revewnue Managment teams to provide a seamless user experience.
Essential Functions:
- Partner and engage with ecommerce team to develop, test and deploy enhancements to the CCL website in order to drive higher engagement and improved booking conversion.
- Implement and test javascript/html and CCS rules for front-end personalization. Set up QA campaigns in our CRM and testing platforms. Provide technical support to IT on our personalization campaigns.
- Develop code and set up all merchandising campaigns for .com. Partner with strategy team to communicate latest enhancements and features that can be used to enhance the merchandising.
- Particpate in weekly test plan meeting with analytics, merchandising and e-commerce teams and colloborate on projectes and deliverables.
- Grow, develop and utilize analytical skillset, in areas such as A/B Testing, data management platforms, to identify opportunities for conversion improvement.
- Partner and work cross-functionally coordinating with marketing teams and other Carnival Business units to execute personalized campaigns across digital touch points.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must be proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React.
- Strong analytical skills required. Ability to execute consumer-facing digital strategies; Interface and communication in detail with a range of web site, mobile, tablet, creative design initiatives; Excellent Project Management, Meeting facilitation and briefing skills required. Proficient in efficient decision-making skills required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is impperative. Desire and ability to learn and apply knowledge quickly and accurately.
Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing
Required experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experiencemanaging websites, e-commerce and digital marketing. Mobile commerce experiences a plus. Travel industry experience a plus.
