About the role: You will be working in our Austin, TX location responsible for managing the company’s marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, as well as supervising members of the Marketing team. This role involves running digital marketing campaigns, managing brand presence, and closely aligning with sales to drive marketing effectiveness. This role involves working full-time, Monday through Friday.
What you will do:
- Manage workflow within the assigned team and effectively manage team employees through adherence to Capitol Services’ policies and practices
- Work with the team to solve issues and improve processes, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Coordinate employee outreach opportunities to ensure adequate engagement with staff throughout the year
- Participate in the hiring process by reviewing resumes, attending interviews, and providing feedback on potential candidates
- Coordinate training for new hires within the team and conduct 45/90/120-day reviews and annual performance evaluations
- Oversee timecards, paid time off, and attendance for assigned team members
- Conduct meetings with the team to discuss workflow, staffing, training, and personnel issues
- Communicate with clients, coworkers, correspondents, jurisdiction employees, and others in a timely, effective, and professional manner
- Oversee the creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials
- Manage content generation and production across all media platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding
- Plan and execute marketing and branding objectives, including digital marketing campaigns across various channels, such as email, social media, and online advertising
- Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies
- Gather and analyze client insights to inform marketing strategies
- Partner with the Sales team to implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing services, enhancing alignment with sales initiatives
Who you are:
- Experienced: You have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field or equivalent experience. You have 7+ years’ experience in a marketing role. You have experience developing and managing marketing strategies, including digital marketing, social media, and brand management. You have experience in client and market research, with a strong analytical skillset to evaluate market trends. You have experience in tradeshow and event strategy. You have experience with marketing operations including account maintenance.
- Preferred: You have 10 years’ experience in a marketing role and have worked in the legal services / professional industry.
- Technical competencies: You have excellent knowledge of CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and marketing automation platforms. You are proficient in Microsoft software (e.g., Outlook, Word, and Excel) and have experience interacting with Adobe PDF documents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills: You are able to multi-task and prioritize projects / assignments. You are attentive to detail and exhibit a reasonable sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You communicate in both a professional and friendly manner with clients, coworkers, and others.
- Leadership skills: You exhibit a sensitivity to personnel management and confidentiality. You are able to maintain poise under pressure and exercise good judgment. You maintain a spirit of flexibility and adaptability with coworkers. You are able to analyze and evaluate personnel performance related to growth and development, as well as necessitated disciplinary actions.
- Adaptable: You are eager to use new tools and learn new processes and technologies. You can adapt to changing priorities while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You have strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise.
- Coachable: You have the ability to retain and implement instruction and training. You are open to learn and navigate our current processes and systems. You are not afraid to ask questions.
- Positive attitude: You demonstrate a positive customer service attitude. You are courteous and polite, especially when navigating through difficult conversations, problems, or complaints that may arise.
- Exceptional and dependable team player: You are able to work in both a team and independent setting. You tend to foster support and dependability towards your peers, cultivating a collaborative team environment while also getting your individual tasks done within specific time constraints.
- Reliable: You are able to work during our regular business hours at your assigned location. You are a punctual individual and able to follow an assigned work schedule. You are able to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Office environment: You are able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
