Starting Pay Range: $63,000-$66,150
Full Pay Range: $63,000-$75,600
Job summary:
The Marketing Manager will support FIRC through strategic management of all FIRC’s marketing communications including website, graphic design, printed materials, social media and email campaigns that reflect the organization’s mission. The position also supports programs and fundraising community events. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required (verbal and written). We are looking for a dynamic team player who will utilize branding standards, project management skills, and event coordination knowledge to promote FIRC. The Marketing Manager must have the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines and priorities, demonstrate excellent communication, and exhibit high level organizational skills. This is a diverse role that includes a mix of marketing mediums, project coordination, collaboration across the organization, and creative work.

Primary duties:
- Content Creation:
- Design and produce content to develop our website, promotional materials and communication tools for fundraising and programs including external communications: newsletters, annual appeal, annual report, videos, event signage, and press releases.
- Ensure consistency of FIRC’s brand standards to inform and educate the media, donors and clients of new programs, local issues affecting working families or upcoming events.
- Design and produce content on platforms including Facebook and Instagram that grow the community’s knowledge of FIRC and advance development objectives.
- Generate marketing metrics and reports to target our audience data and demographics and optimize marketing strategies.
- Translate content from English to Spanish, assess for cultural relativity, and the importance of grammatical appropriateness for all internal and external communications.
- Event Planning:
- Produce event communications, collect logos, design program ads, and track sponsorship fulfillment.
- Working with the Development Team, aid in the script writing for events and run of show talking points.
- Working with the Development Team, coordinate, plan, and staff all major FIRC fundraising (FIRC Night Out, Hearthstone Wine Dinner, Colorado Gives Day, House Parties, etc.), promotional and community events (First Fridays, Tree Lighting, Resource Fairs, Concerts, etc.) and assist program team with program related events.
- Working with the Development Team, manage event logistics (pre/post event), including venue selection, vendor coordination, and event-based needs to ensure event flow and success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Although this position does not directly supervise employees, it may in the future, depending on the Development Department structure change needs.
- Design marketing pieces including brochures, flyers, social media posts, FIRC swag, direct mail pieces, MailChimp newsletters, FIRC signage etc.
- Ability to write and collaborate with community partners and contractors to promote FIRC programs with marketing and communication activities (print, television, radio, internet, and social media).
- In collaboration with FIRC’s Development Director, develop annual marketing plan, including goals, target audience / reach, budgets and timelines for marketing campaigns and events. Ensuring all marketing deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Maintain an inventory of FIRC marketing collateral and its distribution and reach.
- Assist FIRC’s Development Team and Leadership Team with community and fundraising events.
- Consistent communication with program staff, managers and directors.
- Make recommendations on ways to improve marketing efforts and execute strategies for increased success.
- All other duties as assigned.
The person we are looking for will:
- Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with a broad range of people.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with many competing and often changing priorities.
- Ability to meet quick turnarounds and adjust workload accordingly when shifting priorities arise.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in performing job duties.
Requirements of the position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management or a related field
- At least 2 years of Graphic Design experience using platforms like Adobe Illustrator and/or Canva.
- Email marketing experience using platforms such as MailChimp.
- At least 2 years of experience in SEO optimization and web design/maintenance: WordPress, Elementor or similar software.
- Experience in Volunteer Management Platforms such as Bloomerang to post opportunities and create branded communications to volunteers.
- Experience working a diverse range of events with demonstrated success in designing marketing collateral for fundraising events.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
- Strong experience in social media content creation and management.
- Strong analytical skills/ability to evaluate successful marketing campaigns and report on their performance.
- Experience with budget management and oversight.
- Experience working with a wide variety of vendors for printing fulfillment.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and Raiser’s Edge software (or similar database software).
- Driver’s License and reliable year-round transportation is required.
