Marketing Operations Manager
Our client is a leading manufacturing company and they are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Operations Manager to lead the design team and drive the development of cutting-edge products that meet the evolving needs of their clients.
Job Summary: The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design process from concept to production, ensuring that all products meet high standards of functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to guide a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and product developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design, experience in the manufacturing sector, and a proven ability to manage projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design team in the creation of innovative products that align with company goals and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, marketing, and sales to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the entire design process, from initial concept development to final product launch, ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
- Oversee the development of design prototypes, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Evaluate and refine design concepts, making decisions on aesthetics, materials, and production methods.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, models, and specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to inform design strategies.
- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and career growth.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with suppliers and external partners as needed to source materials, components, or services.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the design and development process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production methods.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma certification.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in product design and manufacturing.
- Experience working with international teams or suppliers.
