Job Overview:
The Community Outreach and Marketing Coordinator will promote our dispensaries across Connecticut and Massachusetts by engaging with local communities. The goal is to increase awareness, foot traffic, and sales at our dispensaries, which operate under several brands. You will be part of a team of two coordinators, and you'll attend community events, promote our dispensaries, and create engaging assets like photos from events.
Responsibilities:
- Attend community events near our dispensaries five days a week, including weekends (flexible schedule based on events).
- Set up and manage a branded tent at events; distribute coupons, and swag items, and demonstrate how to use our website for pre-ordering.
- Research and schedule events independently with a minimum of one month of planning ahead.
- Engage directly with event attendees, answering questions about cannabis products and promoting dispensaries.
- Build and maintain relationships with store managers and the Director of Operations.
- Report on activities daily to the Outreach and Licensing lead and Director of Operations.
- Track mileage and expenses using the company's easy-to-use application.
- Create social media content and document activities for the company's marketing team.
- Support digital promotions and event updates when possible.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older with a basic knowledge of cannabis.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, event planning, or related fields is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking to the public.
- Organized and willing to drive up to 2 hours from home base (mileage paid until a company vehicle is available).
- Ability to set up and break down a marketing tent (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexible work hours depending on event schedules.
Ideal Candidate Traits:
- Enjoys talking with people and building connections.
- Prefers an active, varied work environment rather than a desk job.
- Likes the flexibility and opportunity to work at different events and locations.
We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply. If you have a passion for the cannabis industry and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to submit your application.
