Position Purpose
The Marketing Specialist II is responsible for leading various marketing efforts across the company, with a focus on maintaining the company’s brand presence, coordinating and executing marketing campaigns across all business units, supporting sales teams, and providing analytical insights into performance metrics. This role includes digital marketing coordination, content creation, internal/external communications. The Marketing Specialist II also ensures the LONG brand is properly used and represented in all internal and external communications. This position requires strong organizational skills, creativity, a high level of detail and an understanding of the B2B construction industry LONG is in.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain content for internal and external communications, including websites, blogs and social media.
- Lead the implementation of marketing campaigns by creating and coordinating collateral such as fliers, advertisements, brochures, and email newsletters, through working with a team of outsourcing vendors.
- Assist with the maintenance of the LONG website.
- Maintain visual and marketing aspects for all websites under the LONG company umbrella.
- Manage digital assets, including photography and video, to support marketing efforts.
- Oversee social media platforms, including posting content, responding to engagement, and measuring performance through analytics tools.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on SEO/SEM efforts and implement strategies to improve the company’s digital presence.
- Assist with tracking digital marketing campaign results and providing insights into adjustments for better ROI.
- Ensure consistent application of the company’s brand guidelines across all internal and external communications, make decisions on promotional product proofs and changes to ensure branding stays relevant and up to standard.
- Lead the development of and maintain content for the company’s website, ensuring it is updated with the latest project profiles, product offerings, and company news.
- Coordinate external public relations efforts, including managing reviews, Google My Business, and other customer-facing platforms.
- Work with internal customers, vendors and suppliers to maintain accurate and branded promotional products.
- Lead the creation and distribution of press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Awareness of a formal marketing budget and works within the approved budget.
- Lead the planning and coordination of tradeshow and events on the marketing side, including booth asset management.
- Conduct ongoing marketing research to monitor competitors, markets and current and potential customer preferences.
- Collaborate, guide and train sales teams on marketing processes and standards.
- Ability to work well as part of a team to collaborate ideas on large scale projects or events.
- Ability to think outside the box to provide alternative solutions to project complications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Marketing or related field, or 5+ years of relevant work experience and/or the equivalent of both related work and education experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic math and financial skills
- Work well independently to see projects through to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in web or graphic design
