About the job:
Ready to kickstart your career in Marketing? Our Marketing Associate Program (MAP) is a rotational program that’s designed to prepare you for what’s next. You’ll start with concentrated training and informational sessions where you’ll learn about SAS, our products, and our core marketing practices. Then, you’ll shadow some of our marketing teams to better identify your interests before beginning your first of three core marketing rotations. Some potential assignments include roles in the following functions:
- Social/Digital Marketing
- Integrated Marketing Campaigns
- Event Planning
- Corporate Messaging
- Corporate Communications/Public Relations
- Creative Design
- Web Design and Optimization
- Marketing Sciences/Customer Insights
- Market Research
- Product Marketing
Throughout each eight-month rotation, you’ll gain a deeper understanding and valuable experience with each unique marketing role, equipping you with the skills you need to succeed. Upon completion of your third rotation, you’ll be placed within our marketing organization according to your best fit and business need.
As a member of the Marketing Associate Program, you will have an opportunity to:
- Receive coaching and mentoring from marketing professionals
- Learn about our products, customers, business, and brand
- Conduct research on markets, industries, competitors, products, campaigns, and business
- Work on marketing campaigns, messages, and creative
- Work with rotational managers to hone your marketing skills
- Develop solutions to business problems
- Grow your network by connecting with current and former Marketing Associates and other SAS employees
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related discipline
- Some knowledge of marketing concepts including content, digital, social and email strategies and business-to-business acumen
- Strong understanding of marketing communication concepts and functions
- Good written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audience
Preferred qualifications
- Good analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good organizational and executional skills
- Some analytical abilities and data-driven decision making
- Self-driven and energetic
Additional Information
- This is an entry-level position.
- This position is based out of our Cary, NC HQ office. You must be able to work in the HQ office in a hybrid capacity in the area or be willing to relocate.
