Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a hard-working, motivated individual to serve as a Marketing Technology Specialist.
We prefer candidates who can work from our Downtown Los Angeles, Century City, Orange County, Del Mar, San Diego, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley office, but will consider other candidates who can work from one of our other U.S. offices. The other offices we are considering are: Dallas, Houston, or Chicago. There is only one opening.

The primary areas of responsibility include supporting the Senior Marketing Technology Manager on core marketing technology activities and projects. The individual will be part of a cross-functional team and should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong writing and organizational skills, be able to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines, have impeccable attention to detail and be extremely collaborative.

- Operational Excellence: Actively contribute to the daily management and progressive advancement of marketing technology operations, ensuring optimal workflow and platform efficiency.
- Knowledge Leadership: Become a trusted expert in marketing technology processes, platforms, and tools, with a commitment to continuously expanding understanding to support the team and firm.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams and stakeholders, facilitating smooth collaboration to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Problem-Solving and Relationship Building: Address challenges proactively with a solution-oriented mindset, aiming to enhance processes and strengthen team dynamics.

Essential Functions of Job:
Support the Senior Marketing Technology Manager on a variety of projects that may include:

- Optimize MarTech and Conduct Training: Develop and maintain key training materials, conduct sessions, and assist with ensuring best practice adherence to maximize martech platform use.
- Innovate and Research: Identify and integrate cutting-edge technology solutions to elevate the firm’s marketing capabilities and support business development efforts.
- Implement SEO Best Practices: Apply core SEO strategies, including optimizing critical elements and conducting key term research, to boost online visibility and content value.
- Oversee Email Marketing Systems: Ensure the operational integrity, support, data compliance, and effectiveness of email marketing platforms, adhering to regulatory and best practice standards.
- Support Email Marketing Campaigns: Provide support in crafting, executing, and analyzing email marketing campaigns, ensuring excellence in delivery and insights.
- Manage Workflows with Monday.com: Configure and automate cross-functional project and task workflows within Monday.com to enhance management and execution.
- Analyze Digital Marketing Efforts: Generate and maintain digital marketing reports, leveraging insights to refine strategies and measure ROI effectively.
- Assist with Database Management: Partner with stakeholders on projects to update and maintain database accuracy and reliability.
- Provide Event Technology Support: Support the Events Team with technology solutions, ensuring seamless event execution.
- Update BD&M Content: Assist with keeping the firm’s BD&M-related intranet content fresh, relevant and easily accessible.
- Support for Website and Social Media Content Updates: Provide backup support for updating website content, blogs, and social media content.
- Enhance CRM and ERM Systems: Contribute to the refinement of mailing lists and data quality within CRM and ERM systems, including support for the CRM Data Steward.

- 5+ years of relevant marketing technology experience within a professional services environment.
- Skilled in using a range of digital marketing and analytics tools.
- Proven capability in email campaign management, including segmentation and automation; familiarity with Vuture preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and collaborate across different organizational levels is essential.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, strong organizational skills, adept at juggling multiple tasks and deadlines, detail-oriented, team player, with the capacity to work independently.
- Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills by effectively leveraging all available resources, including the internet and tech tools’ help centers, to find solutions. A self-starter who approaches challenges with diligence and creativity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of legal marketing technologies, digital strategies, and business development processes.
- Background in data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and UX/UI design principles.
- Solid understanding of CRM principles; experience with InterAction is a plus.
- Experience with a range of MarTech tools such as Monday.com, Semrush, Foundation, Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, various CMS platforms, ERMs, etc.

California: The pay range for this position is $35.00 to $44.00 per hour.
