About the Job
Palo Alto Software is looking for a talented and versatile Video Content Editor to join our content marketing team. This role will be responsible for editing a variety of content from our team of in-house content creators, such as long-form YouTube videos, short-form social media content, digital advertising creative, podcast episodes, and more!
This is a full-time position reporting to the Content Marketing Manager. The starting pay may range from $55,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our team of in-house content creators to edit engaging video content that aligns with LivePlan's brand guidelines for our website and social channels (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook)
- Support our customer advocacy, product engagement, business development, and marketing teams with video editing while maintaining brand standards across all video content
- Produce attention-grabbing digital advertising creative that aligns with brand guidelines
- Edit and enhance both video and audio for our podcast series, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound production
- Manage video and audio projects from editing to final delivery, ensuring timely completion
- Optimize content for different platforms and formats, including mobile devices
- Incorporate motion graphics, sound effects, and music to enhance video and audio quality
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing trends, techniques, and best practices, implementing them as appropriate

- Contribute to increased engagement rates and view counts across our digital platforms
- Consistently deliver high-quality video and audio content that aligns with our brand standards
- Demonstrate ability to adapt editing style to different formats and platforms, including podcasts and short-form video
- Contribute creative ideas that elevate the overall quality of video and audio productions
- Meet all project deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Effectively assist with audio and visual needs in our studios, ensuring smooth production processes
What You Bring to the Job:
- Exceptional video and audio editing skills with a keen eye for visual and auditory storytelling
- Practical knowledge of video production equipment, including setting up and managing lighting, cameras, and audio gear
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Descript) and audio editing tools
- Strong understanding of current video and podcast trends, especially in short-form content
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and project organization skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in video creation, editing, and production
- Demonstrated experience in creating both long-form and short-form video content
- Portfolio showcasing a range of video editing work, including social media content and motion graphics
Preferred experience:
- Familiarity with business planning and financial management concepts
- Experience in podcast editing and audio production
