We at ML are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Designer to join our dynamic team of professionals and contribute to our cutting-edge projects.
Position Summary: The Electronics Hardware Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits and systems. This includes electronic part selection, circuit design, simulation, PCB design (using Altium Designer), and validation of both in-house and vendor-supplied circuits. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with part selection and a deep understanding of electronic principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Circuit Design:
- Perform part research and selection to ensure optimal components are used.
- Create and enter schematics using Altium Designer.
Circuit Simulation:
- Conduct circuit simulations to validate designs and ensure performance meets specifications.
- Utilize simulation tools to predict circuit behavior and identify potential issues early in the design process.
PCB Design:
- Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer, ensuring layout meets design requirements and manufacturing constraints.
- Collaborate with PCB fabricators to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
Circuit Testing and Validation:
- Test and validate circuits, whether designed in-house or sourced from vendors, to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
- Develop and execute test plans, document results, and iterate on designs based on findings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electronic design and development.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in PCB design software for schematic entry and PCB design. Altium preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and circuit design principles.
- Experience with circuit simulation tools and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with circuit testing and validation.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
