About the Position:
Mason Temps is an in-house agency that recruits qualified candidates on a continual basis and places them in a range of temporary positions across the University. Positions vary depending on departmental needs and assignments can vary in length. We are unable to post every opportunity we receive; therefore, this application serves as the first step in the process to be considered for our current temp openings. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available.
Below are some of the positions which Mason Temporary employees usually assume:
Experience, education, and physical requirements will vary based on the specifics of the temporary role to be filled. However, the majority of positions do require the following:
Working as a temporary employee is an excellent way to step into higher education or expand your skillset into other fields. While all the positions are temporary in nature, some roles do have the opportunity to be posted as permanent positions and temp employees would follow the State policy of applying for the role if they are interested.
These positions are non-benefited.
Current Mason students are not eligible to be considered for these positions.

- Prior administrative/office management experience;
- Demonstrated level of professional customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to operate standard office equipment;
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail; and
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
