- Material Handler
- FLSA Classification(s): Non-Exempt/Hourly
- The Material Handler will be responsible for performing the bundling operation in a safe and effective manner.

- This position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor.
- Complying with policies and procedures.
- Interacting with other employees, suppliers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Communicating work progress and significant issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Conduct a pre-shift inspection of all equipment utilized during their daily functions.
- Builds loads based on the tally sheet by heat number to ensure that multiple heats are not bundled together.
- Will check the length to which is determined by the specification identified on the production order and specification sheet to ensure product quality.
- Will place boards on each layer of pipe 4-6 feet from the end of the pipe before the next layer is positioned.
- Load must be marked with a load number, heat number(s) and customer name.
- Assist forklift operator when moving loads.
- Basic housekeeping in general work area.
- Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
