- Transport stock between loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage
areas, and production areas, either manually or using equipment such
as trucks, forklifts, or tractors.
- Follow written or verbal instructions regarding daily assignments
and tasks.
- Stage products for shipping and receiving, as well as warehouse and
production line areas.
- Sort cargo during loading/unloading, and label containers with
identifying information.
- Store cargo in designated areas using pallets or cargo boards.
- Record daily stock movement using production sheets to track the
number of units handled.
- Safely lift and guide cargo using assistive devices like slings or
hooks.
- Operate material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts,
order pickers, tow motors, and pallet jacks (both manual and
powered).
- Receive, verify, track, and distribute materials from the warehouse
to production areas.
- Safely lift, unload, and relocate heavy pallets, either by hand or
using machinery, preparing them for transport when necessary.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure deliveries meet company and
industry standards.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, following general
housekeeping procedures.
- Understand basic supply chain operations, including
shipping/receiving logistics, quality assurance, equipment
maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, verify shipping invoices, and
log deliveries for each order.
