Material Handler Cutting Coordinator - Poly-Tech Industrial Inc

Responsible for providing cut blanks for internal and external customers. Responsible for daily planning and scheduling of the plant’s materials for production.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Upon receipt of work orders from Receiving, confirms materials are available to complete the job or the status of the new material.
2. Plans and schedules the work to be cut on appropriate saws with appropriate personnel. Works closely with production manager to ensure consistent feeding of blanks for CNC machines.
3. Sets up and operates chop saw, Cosen saw, table saw and router to cut metal or plastic stock to dimensions. Reads job order for specifications, such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
4. Ensures accuracy of cuts and yields are utilized to produce the most amount of parts of the material provided.
5. Monitors quality, output, and productivity.
6. Prepares and stages materials (blanks) for external or internal customers in an organized manner.
7. Maintains blade inventory for saws and rotates appropriately. Works with vendors on sharpening of blades to ensure available inventory always.
8. Maintains saws and clean safe work environment.
9. Complete the job duties in a manner that does not put him/her or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE when required.
10. Assists with shipping and receiving on an as-needed basis.
