ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Using flatbed and dolly, loads and unloads trucks and trailers.
Secures materials inside trucks and trailers by tying or using other methods as required.
Using appropriate equipment, collects and delivers material from 2800 donation site to appropriate areas.
Assists ADC Attendant at 2800 in unloading large items brought to the donation site.
Assists Coordinator, Transportation in loading trucks or trailers with carts, totes and necessary supplies for daily pickup.
Assists in keeping dock area and 2800 donation site clean and neat.
Assists drivers to dump and unload trash.
Accompanies and assists driver in the pick-up and loading of donated material at individual homes, businesses or donations sites.
Presents positive image when interacting with donors.
Must wear company approved gloves while pushing/pulling carts or any other materials.
Must wear company approved safety glasses/face shield when dumping carts of glass.
Must wear safety toe shoes while working at all times.
Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Assembles tote boxes.
Assists other departments in moving material as needed.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three (3) months.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, seeing and depth perception. Lifting/Carrying: Heavy Work: Lifting 50 lbs. maximum, one-man lift, and 100 lbs. maximum, two-man lift, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Pushing/Pulling: Very Heavy Work pushing laundry carts 100lb or more on with frequency.
