About the Job
We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Material Handler to join a leading Company located in the Durham, NH surrounding area.
The Material Handler is responsible for processing and moving finished products and materials throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transactions in the inventory system, moving products around within the warehouse
- Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities
- Materials may be moved from racks, skids, or carts
- Maintain organization and inventory of products within the department
- Understand and implement required procedures (ISO standard documents)
- Oversee and maintain a clean work area as well as any other area that may be assigned to Finished Goods according to our 5S standards
- Report any and all safety concerns to the Supervisor or Manager
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Assist in day-to-day department operations as requested
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous Oracle experience is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies
- Knowledge of forklifts and reach trucks a plus
- Interest in getting certified for forklift operation is highly desired
- Must have good communication skills, simple mathematical ability, and can write legibly
- Must be able to work individually and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to follow established procedures, and work under the direction of the supervisor
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
