Material Handler:- Finished Goods
2nd Shift 2:45pm-11:15pm
Pay: $21.50 per hour includes pay differential.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the handling of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods in the Production Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Coordinate with CCSF Lead Operator and support machine operators by executing the following:
Read and follow Work Order requirements for all material selection.
Retrieve boxes, spools and pallets for use at each work station.
Retrieve and return drums of semi-finished goods to work stations staging areas and/or drum storage areas at Expansion and CCSF operating areas.
Read and follow production schedule in order to prepare material for use at each work station in CCSF.
Assist with printing labels, building boxes, and moving finished product to staging area for transfer.
Coordinate with Expansion Operators to move empty reels from expansion staging area to extrusion storage area and retrieve irradiated reels to stage to expansion machines.
Coordinate with Irradiation Operators to handle materials to be placed into oven.
Assist Irradiation operators with machine setups as assigned.
Maintain general department area housekeeping by completing the following:
Empty trash bins in the production and outside common areas.
Empty work station recycling containers and store in the designated areas.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Must be able to read and comprehend schedules and Work Order requirements.
Basic math skills for counting materials and assist with inventory control.
Preferences
Previous material handling experience (stocking, warehouse, distribution, etc.).
Special Position Requirements
Must be able to work with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts and dollies.
