Material Handlers maintain production and distribution of products by delivering production materials and supplies;staging finished products. Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code Marks materials with identifying information Opens bales, crates, and other containers Creates packing slips for customer shipments Verifies accuracy of international shipments Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers Enters and maintains inventory records in the computer Prepares parcels for mailing Understands packaging specs for customer shipments When if receiving will unpack and verify the condition of the received items then store in an appropriate way Verify the information on orders, bills, receipts, etc. Is correct Maintain department records Draft computer reports as needed Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices Other duties as required and assigned RECOMMENDED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Forklift certified required 3-5 years of experience High School diploma or equivalent Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency using MS Office Ability to work with Finance on invoicing receipts and problem solvinBe on timeBe on time
