Job Title: Material Handler

Compensation: $17-$20 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse or production facility. Your main duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other equipment, and organizing and maintaining inventory. You will also be responsible for inspecting materials for quality and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Load and unload materials from trucks and move them to designated areas

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials

- Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient and orderly manner

- Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel

- Keep work area clean and free of hazards

- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members

- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role preferred

- Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using inventory management systems

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed

- Must pass a background check and drug screening
