About the Job
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Material Handler II – Receiving to join their team. As a Material Handler II – Receiving, you will be part of the Receiving Department supporting the Material Handling team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Job Title: Material Handler II – Receiving
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay Range: $23-$25
What's the Job?
- Unloading shipments from trucks and ensuring they match the purchase order and packing list
- Processing receipts: responsible for receiving incoming materials, parts, packages from various vendors and means of delivery. Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or supplier to rectify damages and shortages
- Verifying reports to see any discrepancies in inventory or Pos
- Performing inventory control including part number identification, transactions, and organizations (unplanned issues and receipts as needed, transferring of product as needed and cycle count and recount for accuracy)
- Participating in the annual physical inventory count team as assigned

- Willingness to be flexible to move to different parts of the material environment or organization to assist areas in need of additional resources
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of co-works, assist in training of other members and promote a strong team effort to ensure timely and efficient completion of customer requirements
- Proactively identify methods and procedures for improving productivity, be a team player, and be able to provide guidance and training to other associates
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Strong computer and communication skills
