Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team for the Summer. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, forklift operation, materials handling, material planning, movement, slotting, and stocking is preferred but not required. If you are interested in a contract role in warehousing and logistics we would love to hear from you!
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and executing shipping and receiving activities.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment with precision and safety.
- Managing inventory and ensuring materials are properly stocked and organized.
- Developing and implementing material planning and movement strategies.
- Optimizing slotting and storage locations to increase efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Proficient in forklift operation.
- Experience in logistics and materials handling.
- Ability to do slotting and stocking.
