Summary of the Material Handler position:

• Location: Kearney, Nebraska
• Schedule: 2nd shift, 
• Pay: $21.16/hour

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• Efficiently handle and transport materials, parts, products, and other items as per the Process Instruction for the assigned area.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts including changing propane tanks and charging batteries as needed.
• Remove scrap materials and perform cycle counting as required.
• Complete necessary paperwork including material transfers, receiving, scrap, time reports, and daily fork truck inspection forms.
• Perform inventory transactions using computer terminals or RF devices.
• Operate additional equipment such as hand pallet trucks, barrel lifts, floor sweepers, floor scrubbers, and yard trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area adhering to all safety rules and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure the quality and safety of your work and comply with all company procedures and policies.

Requirements for the Material Handler position:

• Minimum eighth grade education required.
• High school education preferred with at least three months of work experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights due to stacked shelving.
• Strong communication and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional attendance and work performance.
