Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Seven (7) years of experience in project procurements and inventory management
- Demonstrated experience tracking and storing Government Furnished Equipment
- Demonstrated experience with inventory control
- Demonstrated experience with Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS-T)
- Demonstrated experience maintaining material databases
- Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
- Understanding of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans
- Experience with procurement actions for Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and/or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
Desired Skills
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- Candidate with Military Supply experience
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings to determine parts needed for production of a unit
- Experience with Indentured Bill of Materials (BOM) for DoD systems
- Experience creating Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Experience creating Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans
- Seven (7) years- experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs
- Thorough understanding of NSWC operations
Description
- Generates, maintains, and tracks material and part requirements to ensure continued support of deployed systems and/or products
- Prepares materials requisition
- Maintains materials database
- Maintains inventory required by engineering drawings
- Provides information for the tracking and storage of government furnished equipment
- Provides customer information and assures that support requirements and schedules are met
- Ensures accurate control and traceability of all prototype and system configuration documentation, physical parts, and software media for all development and modification projects
- Defines traceable items and prescribe method of tracking identification (serial or lot control)
- Provides supply support, provisioning, planned maintenance, and PHS-T
- Assists with fielding, support, and disposal of the prototypes and systems across their life cycle
- Assists with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plan in accordance with TA-STD-0016. To include analyzing, reporting, and executing obsolescence management for prototype systems to mitigate program supply chain risks
- Investigates, evaluates, develops and replaces, where applicable, obsolete and non-obtainable parts/components for all supported systems
- Provides an Indentured Bill of Materials (BOM) for prototype systems
- Develops and provides a LORA compliant with SAE AS 1390
- Provides logistics data for affordability, reliability, maintainability, supportability, supply support, maintenance concepts, and warranty considerations
- Packs material for shipping, cuts foam for the packing of units, wraps units for protection during the shipping process, provides shipping material, and handles packages to and from the shipping department
- Coordinates procurement actions with NAVSUP and/or DLA
