Material Manager
Purpose: The purpose of the Material Manager is to manage materials in the market housing warehouse for a residential projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Warehouse Associates (if applicable).
- Maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Purchase correct materials needed to support field operations.
- Track material orders.
- Effectively manage incomplete PO's.
- Manage and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Coordinate material returns with vendors in a timely manner to ensure proper credit is received.
- Ensure material is received accurately.
- Ensure material is accurately stocked and organized within the warehouse.
- Continually improve warehouse layout and functionality as needed to support operations.
- Ensure job pulls are accurately completed as scheduled.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Build and maintain MOA templates that accurately reflect warehouse stock items and layout.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and trailers.
- Assist the field team in locating material needed.
- Assist in conducting accurate mid-year and year-end warehouse inventories.
- Assist in ensuring facilities are cleaned and maintained.
- Assist in ensuring the outside yard is clean and organized.
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Assist in ensuring facilities are safe and work is conducted in a safe manner.
- Recommend improvements to existing processes to reduce waste, increase quality, and increase productivity/efficiency.
- Other duties as needed.
