About the Role:
The main function of a material planner is to coordinate materials as well as other parts and resources that are needed to manufacture products. A typical material planner is able to appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials.
Job Responsibilities:
" Determine required materials and generating necessary purchase orders for them.
" Ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
" Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
" Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments.
" Evaluate and prepare cost estimates and performance reports for material purchases.
" Schedule and monitor the supply and delivery of materials and products.
Skills:
" Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
" Organizational and time management skills.
" Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
" Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
" Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education/Experience:
" Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
