Job Summary:
The role of a Material Planner & Scheduler is to verify that production line delivery aligns with minimum stock targets and logistics costs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Material Planner Responsibilities:
o Build up the Procurement Program by dividing and leveling piece procurements
o Follow up the Procurement Program realization by managing alert systems and follow the unloading, receipt and transportation of pieces.
o Follow supplier delivery performance (supplier ship attainment) and the service of logistics partners and propose appropriate improvement action plans.
o Achieve the transportation program on a monthly basis and the transportation scheme semi-annually.
o Ensure that logistics conventions comply with purchasing objectives and support conditions set by suppliers for procurement and packaging and by logistics partners for transport and services.
* Manufacturing Support:
o Track production attainment and coordinate with manufacturing on improvement plans to achieve 100% performance.
o Direct packaging management.
o Communicate production schedules to manufacturing. Present 12 or 16 week customer demand forecast.
* Outbound Scheduling:
o Monitor customer EDI demands
o Coordinate, track daily shipments to customer. Communicate with customer material planner
* Coordinate level scheduling that meets customer demand while minimizing cost.
* Verify that Sales and Production Plan capacity requirements can be supported by suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
* Strong sense of teamwork
* Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
* Strong communication skills - ability to interface with other functions - and work with employees at all levels of the organization
* Knowledge and ability to interpret EDI and MRP systems.
Education and Experience:
* At least 2-3 years of production, supply chain, or logistics experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or equivalent experience required
* Experience collaborating and managing overseas suppliers
