Material Planner - Aquinas Consulting

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Material Planner job in Stamford, CT with one of our major clients in the Aerospace and Defense industry. In this role , you will gain Supply Chain Management experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment with growth potential. You will be engrained with most aspects of the craft including, but not limited to Material Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement and Transportation.

Material Planner Job responsibilities:

• Planning of sub-assemblies
• Identifying shortages
• Negotiated and procuring catalog and manufactured materials used in production of products
• Serve as member of the Inventory Management Team
• Negotiate and source materials from approved vendors
• Creating purchase order requisitions for Buyers to convert in support of production planning schedule while calculating annual usage and maintenance of item lead times.
• Process outside service orders
• Member of the Inventory team
• Maintain a neat and organized work area,
• Quote, place, track, and expedite orders, when necessary, through receiving
• Track supplier On-time delivery
• Maintain and monitor hardware KANBAN

Qualifications:

• Business degree preferred
• Three to five years of manufacturing of warehouse environments preferred
• Strong Microsoft skills; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. 
• Ability to learn and exploit ERP system
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Energetic self-starter that must be able to work in a team-oriented environment 
• Identify good buying opportunities, recognize market fluctuations and capitalize on advantageous buying situations
