We are currently looking for two talented Material Coordinators I on first shift to work under the direction of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor with minimum supervision.
We are currently looking for two talented Material Coordinators I on first shift to work under the direction of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor with minimum supervision.
Duties:
- The Material Coordinator performs a variety of material handling, shipping and receiving, packaging activities.
- Coordinate workflow and monitor activities for one of more work centers in support of manufacturing and fabrication schedules.
- We have a need in packaging area and the other in raw stock.
- The raw stock individual will receive and put away full sticks of extrusion and full sheets of sheet metal, also manage the Bar and plate for machine.
- They will also issue out that material to the shop via work orders. The packaging will wrap and tag aircraft parts for shipment. Attention to detail, organization skills are must.
Additional Duties:
- Load and unload various types of freight from incoming shipments. Receive and store incoming materials as required, ensuring database accuracy on quantity, lot numbers, expiration dates and any other pertinent information that may apply to associated paperwork (e.g. work orders, packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
- Prepare items for shipment; validate identifying information, count, weight, size and labels, as required.
- Work with cell leaders to monitor work centers utilizing work center dispatch reports, cell tact time analysis, and related material to ensure on-time start dates and completions.
- Maintain effective liaison with other Materials functions, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling and Manufacturing as well as all operations support departments to in order understand and comply with schedule requirements.
- Select specific components as indicated on work orders, make adjustments in database as necessary to maintain component trace ability, and inventory accuracy.
- Perform cycle counts, ensuring 95% accuracy levels are maintained per policy and procedure.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a valid state driver’s license in order to drive company vehicles.
- May be required to drive a forklift
- May be required to stand for sustained periods of time
- May be required to stoop and bend frequently
- May be required to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
- Good oral and written communication skills needed.
Education
- High school or GED required.
Knowledge:
- Basic computer skills including spreadsheet software required.
- Knowledge of a specialized field such as production control and inventory control preferred. Must be detailed oriented.
Experience:
- Forklift and warehouse experience required
- Driver’s License Required
Pay Rate: $17 - $17.50 per hour.
