Summary: Under limited supervision of the Sr. Manager, Materials Management, the Warehouse Operations Manager, or the Manager, Warehouse Logistics, the Supervisor Materials Management is responsible for the assurance of accurate receipt, verification, record keeping, distribution, and or shipment of materials and goods. The supervisor position will be one of three focused areas: Receiving, Inventory Control/Picking, or Shipping. However, the Supervisor, Materials Management is expected to cross train and/or provide support to the other functional areas if needed.
External US:Essential Functions:
- Ensure the accurate receiving, picking and issuance of material in support of manufacturing and quality needs.
- Review and revise standard operating procedures as required to maintain compliance for the cGMP warehouse and its operations.
- Perform GMEBA walks to ensure technicians are following all applicable procedures and requirements.
- Perform system transactions and ensure the timely and accurate order fulfillment, documentation, closure of outstanding issues and effective inventory system.
- Ensure compliance with safe handling and storage requirements, cGMP/ISO, local & corporate policies, and environmental/other related regulations.
- Perform cycle counting and inventory audits as required.
- Ensure picking of GMP materials are based on current BOM’s and controls for materials are always maintained.
- Ensure materials are moved within the FDBT facilities to meet ongoing manufacturing schedules.
- Respond to all refrigerator and or freezer alarms and make necessary material movements to ensure product is maintained within temperature specifications.
- Ensure all applicable shipping procedures and requirements are maintained for both raw material/consumables, samples, and bulk product.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Candidate with experience in logistics/warehouse management.
- Team player with demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of import/export documentation & custom regulations a plus.
- Working knowledge of ERP application software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented and accurate.
- Wear PPE as required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments with little supervision.

- Must be able work weekends, nights, off-shifts, and overtime as required.
- Safely handle and work with hazardous materials and chemicals per OSHA guidelines.
- Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is required.
- Regularly Lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and up to 60 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures (2-8°C) for short periods of time.
- Ability to work in warehouse environment that will include picking of materials from tall racks.
- Attendance is mandatory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma with at least (9) nine years work experience, with at least four (4) year’s relevant warehousing, and two (2) years of cGMP or regulated warehousing experience.
- Associate degree with at least seven (7) years of experience, with at least four (4) years’ relevant warehouse experience and two (2) years of cGMP or regulated warehousing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of experience, with at least four (4) years’ relevant warehouse experience and two (2) years of cGMP or regulated warehousing experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years of previous lead or supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP application software.
- Qualified IATA and DOT for air and ground shipments (Shipping Supervisor)
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and custom regulations (Shipping Supervisor)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical warehousing experience.
- Former Military experience with a focus in logistics/supply chain.
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA.
- Experience with forklift operation and forklift safety protocols.
