About the Job
Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Denver, CO is looking to hire a Materials Manager to manage the supply chain, ensure proper planning and delivery of material, and maintain an accurate inventory of materials within the facility. This full-time position works Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

DAY TO DAY AS A MATERIALS MANAGER
In this fast-paced role, you'll ensure all material is available to support production. You'll manage vendor relationships and verify proper quality, cost, and delivery of incoming materials. All materials must be inspected, bar coded, stored, and staged for the production team. You'll manage and train Materials Coordinators to ensure best practices are being followed for moving products in and out of the facility. You'll establish an accurate and timely process to validate inventory accuracy. To be successful in this role, you'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize job duties in order to meet deadlines.

Required Skills:
- Previous work implementing lean manufacturing techniques and using 5S to organize the shop floor
- Experience in managing a vendor base and leading negotiations in an effort optimize supplier / customer relationships
- Strong PC skills, including a proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to confront and resolve problems while working as part of a cross functional team
Preferred Experiences and Training:
- Previous experience in automotive or truck equipment industry
- Experience in re-designing processes and / or experience in setting up a new material or inventory management system
Education:
- College degree in business or related field and / or APICS certification
- Formal education in material planning and inventory control
- At least 3-5 years of experience working in a material planning system or a perpetual inventory system
- At least 3 years of previous experience managing a functional team
- Strong PC skills, including a proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
- Normal standing, walking, bending and twisting as necessary to perform job duties.
- Exposed to normal seasonal temperatures.
- Lifting/moving up to 75 pounds
