We are looking for a Materials Manager to lead our fulfillment, scheduling, and planning processes, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and seamless production scheduling. This role is a key leadership position, supporting the site’s General Manager as part of the leadership team. The position is based in Thomasville, Georgia, where Pursuit Aerospace employs approximately 150 people and generates $40-50 million in revenue annually. The position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a crucial role in driving operational success.

We’re seeking a Materials Manager who is passionate about optimizing production schedules, managing material flow, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving fulfillment processes.
In this Materials Manager role:
- You'll lead the development and implementation of production schedules, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
- You'll oversee the end-to-end fulfillment process, managing material planning, inventory levels, and on-time delivery to ensure smooth production and fulfillment operations.
- You'll collaborate with operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure materials are available when needed, minimizing production downtime and optimizing workflow.
- You'll manage inventory levels, working to reduce excess inventory while ensuring sufficient materials to meet production needs.
- You'll implement advanced planning and scheduling systems such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to enhance efficiency and accuracy in material flow.
- You'll analyze demand forecasts and production data, making adjustments to schedules to accommodate shifts in customer demand or production challenges.
- You'll maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and negotiating cost-effective contracts.
- You'll provide leadership to the fulfillment and planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years in supply chain or materials management, with a strong focus on inventory and fulfillment processes.
- Proven experience leading teams, managing complex supply chains, and working cross-functionally to drive results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in supply chain software and systems (MRP, SIOP), and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving cost-effective and timely solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to analyze data and create presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- You’ll spend time in both office and production environments, ensuring seamless operations.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Other than safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes, additional personal protective equipment generally not required.
- May be required to lift up to 20 – 30 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
