About the Job
We are seeking applications, on an ongoing basis, for Mathematics adjunct instructors and substitutes at Renton Technical College (RTC). The Dean of General Education will review applications as needed to fill openings during the academic year. This position has been designated as a bargaining unit position represented by the Renton Federation of Teachers (RFT) Employees Association.
RTC offers everything from applied algebra to multi-variable calculus. Most students enroll in AMATH 175 Financial Math or AMATH 190 Financial Algebra, but we also have demand for introductory, algebra-based statistics and the calculus sequence. We prefer open educational resource (OER) materials for each class, which enrolls an incredibly diverse group of students. We are particularly interested in candidates who are available for in-person instruction. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as needs arise within each department. Deans will evaluate applications periodically and contact candidates as adjunct positions become available. Note that applications may be reviewed at any time while this posting remains active.
